Have a question for other therapists? Need help finding resources? Looking to make or receive complicated referrals? Offering a workshop or new group?

There are many reasons you may want to communicate with, or make an announcement to your fellow therapists. The are problems, however, with using social media for this. Shine a Light has a local therapist google group (like a list-serv) that is restricted to known therapists and moderated for ethical guidelines and civil discourse.

 If you are a licensed therapist, associate or trainee, please ask to join our group.

Making Referrals

Do you want to spend less time making referrals for clients you can’t serve? If you have a full practice, no more sliding scale spots, or don’t take Medi-Cal, we can help streamline your referral process. Just send the clients you can’t see to Shine a Light. We have inquiry managers who will help them find a well matched therapist. Our large and diverse staff of intern and licensed therapists can help with:

How to Refer?

The best way to send a client to us is to have them fill out the form at the bottom of every page on our website. That gives us the info we need to match the client with a therapist. And it does not involve you sending their private health information. Just send them to this website and tell them to fill out the form.
