Shine A Light Counseling Center’s Santa Cruz location is at 700 Frederick Street/1610 Soquel Avenue in Santa Cruz, 95062.
 
That’s right, the building has two addresses. It’s set back from both streets and there is a parking lot at each end. (The Soquel Ave parking lot is larger.)
 
It’s a three story beige building with teal trim, and Shine A Light is on the first floor, toward the Frederick St end.
 
The Santa Cruz office occupies two suites. It has a North Office waiting room and a South Office waiting room. Ask you counselor where to meet you. But rest assured they will check both waiting rooms to make sure they find you. Feel free to use the South Office waiting room bathroom if needed upon your arrival.
Santa Cruz Counseling Office

From Frederick St, the driveway is between the newer green apartments (on your left as you drive in) and a row of one story medical offices.

Approaching from Soquel Ave, the driveway is between the bus stop and the VW dealership.

Monterey Office

The Monterey office is on the second floor of Building C at 1010 Cass Street. Park in the back left section of the parking lot.

The Monterey office is up a stairway and is not wheelchair accessible.

Watsonville Office

255 East Lake Ave.
Watsonville, CA 95076

The Watsonville office is in a Victorian house at the front of a  suite of offices and shops at 255 East Lake. Please enter through the front door of the house. You can park anywhere in the lot or on East Lake Ave.

The Watsonville office has an access ramp and is wheelchair accessible.

Our San Francisco site is the New Perspectives Center for Counseling. NPCC joined the Shine a Light family recently, and continues to provide excellent services in the SOMA district of San Francisco.

The San Francisco office is upstairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

Shine a Light Counseling Center is please to merge with New Perspectives Center for Counseling. NPCC has been serving the San Francisco community for thirty years. Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Your fee will be set according to a sliding scale, in collaboration with your therapist, prior to your first counseling session. Total costs depend upon the number of sessions you choose to utilize.

If you have private health insurance, please be aware that your costs for therapy may be less by using an in-network provider for your insurance company. This will depend upon your plan's deductible amounts and co-payments. In some cases, counseling at Shine a Light is less costly than using private insurance.

If you hope to use "out of network" benefits through your private insurance, please be aware that many plans will not reimburse for services provided by pre-licensed therapists (most of our staff).
